Privacy Statement

We are committed to protecting your privacy by ensuring that the personal information you supply to us is treated in strict confidence to the extent that it is required by insurers as part of the proposed or arranged insurance contract.

Information We Require

The personal information we collect is necessary for us to fulfil our role as your insurance broker and is used to:

• evaluate and formulate the type and structure of insurance cover you require;
• place and arrange your insurance policy with alterations which may arise; and
• provide ongoing service in all areas of the insurance contract arranged.

Information Insurers and Insurance Agencies Require

The personal information we collect must be provided to insurers, insurance agencies and their authorised representatives to:

• evaluate and provide insurance terms and scope of cover in endeavouring to meet your requirements; and
• implement the insurance contract with ongoing amendments and to meet the obligations that the arranged contract provides.

Insurers may supply your information to third parties who are engaged to assist in meeting their obligations under the contract.

If Information Is Not Provided

From time to time additional personal information may be required by us and your insurers to meet your further requests or which must be provided to meet your obligations, such as your duty of disclosure under the Insurance Contracts Act. If this information is not provided your request or cover provided by your insurance policy may be affected.

Protecting Your Information

We will take all reasonable steps to protect the information we hold about you from unauthorised access, use and disclosure. We will destroy your information when it is no longer required to be retained.

We will ensure that your information will only be supplied to insurers that advise us that they comply with the Privacy Act.
